Louvered Privacy: Breeze In, Neighbors Out

Mountain lots are closer together than the views suggest — and nothing kills a hot tub soak like an audience. Louvered privacy walls solve it beautifully: angled slats that block sightlines while letting light, air, and the view you want pass through.

Why louvers beat a solid wall

A solid fence turns your deck into a box — dark, windless, and somehow still not private from the uphill neighbor. Louvers are smarter: angle the slats and sightlines close from the directions that matter while breeze and light keep moving. The space stays open; the audience disappears.

Designed for your deck, not from a kit

Every enclosure we build is custom: sized to your deck, angled for your actual sightlines, and finished to match the house. Around hot tubs we design for the soak — privacy at seated height, stars overhead, towel hooks where you want them.

Part of the whole outdoor space

Privacy walls usually arrive alongside the rest of the outdoor project — a new deck, a hot tub install, a fire-pit area. One crew designs and builds it as one space, the way we do at our own rental properties.

Privacy enclosure questions, answered

Do louvers actually block the view in?

Yes — it's geometry. Slats are angled against the specific sightlines you need blocked (the uphill house, the road, the neighboring deck) while other directions stay open.

Will a privacy wall make my deck feel closed in?

That's exactly what louvers avoid. Unlike a solid fence, light and air keep moving through — the deck stays bright and breezy while the sightlines close.

Can you build one around an existing hot tub?

Yes — most of our enclosures go around tubs already in place. We design at soaking height, so privacy is where you sit and the stars stay overhead.

Will it survive mountain wind?

It's built to — louvers actually shed wind better than solid walls, and we engineer posts and connections for High Country gusts.
